Recycle+ Services

In addition to standard residential curbside recycling service offerings, we offer an optional recycling service for hard to recycle items including film plastic, #1 clamshell plastics, textiles, and compact fluorescent light bulbs. Pride will provide you a purple bin with a lid, so these materials can be kept dry. There is an additional charge for this service. This service is on call, so you can schedule pick-ups when you have a full bin of materials ready to be collected. If you’re interested in signing up for this service, click here.

Purple Bin

This service is currently available in the following Pride Disposal service areas: Urban Unincorporated Washington County, Beaverton, Durham, King City, Sherwood, and Tigard.

All other service areas: We are actively working with our other jurisdictions to establish similar programs and hope to have more information soon.

RESIDENTIAL RECYCLE+ GUIDE

Rates

The service has a flat monthly fee as well as a fee for each pick-up you schedule. We recommend waiting until you have a full bin before you schedule a pick-up, this will allow you to make the service as cost effective as possible. If you do not have a pick-up in any given month, you are only charged the monthly fee. For rates for participating jurisdictions, click here

Beyond the Cart!

These items can be recycled but cannot be mixed in with your standard commingled recycling cart. You will be given clear plastic bags to sort and contain each material within the purple bin on your collection day. Then simply contact us when you’re ready to schedule a pick up and place the bin at the curb on your designated day. This material must be kept dry and no extra bags outside of the bin will be accepted on collection days. If you have additional material, it can be included in your next scheduled pick up.

Will my pickup day change because of a holiday?

Will my pickup day change because of a holiday?

Pride Disposal & Recycling drivers work all holidays other than Christmas Day and New Year's Day. If the holiday falls on a weekday during the Christmas or New Year's week, service will occur one day later, starting with the holiday and through the end of the week, with the new collection schedule concluding on Saturday. For example, if the holiday falls on a Thursday, customers with service on Thursdays will receive service on Friday, and Friday customers will be picked up on Saturday. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be no change in the pickup schedule for that week.
