Medical Waste Services
Under Oregon state law, you cannot include potentially infectious medical waste in your regular garbage. To help customers dispose of waste materials properly, Pride Disposal & Recycling provides collection services for medical waste in our service areas through our subcontractor, Trilogy Medwaste.

Accepted Waste
Regulated Medical Waste
Regulated medical waste must be contained inside a bag and then placed in plastic tubs for disposal. We will provide the necessary tubs and bags. Once full, close the bag by twisting and hand-tying the top of the bag into a single knot, leave the bag inside the bin, and then close lids of the tub.
Materials Allowed in Tubs
- Sharps containers (such as needles, lancets, and scalpel blades)
- Laboratory wastes
- Contaminated disposal material, equipment, and instruments
- Dialysis tubing and filters
- Blood, blood products, and other bodily fluids
Pathological Waste for Incineration
Pathological waste must be contained inside a bag and then placed into the approved box for disposal. We will provide the necessary boxes and bags. Once full, close the bag by twisting and hand-tying the top of the bag into a single knot, leave the bag inside the box, and then follow the instructions to close the lids of the box.

We service seven different jurisdictions, each of which has different rates and service frequencies. Some jurisdictions publish their rates on their respective websites. To learn rates specific to your address, please contact our office.

Pride Disposal & Recycling's office in Sherwood accepts approved sharps containers. There is a charge per gallon (based on the size of the sharps container). All containers must be closed securely before they are dropped off. You can also bring full sharps containers to some local pharmacies—contact your pharmacy directly for details.
