Driver - CDL B preferred, not required
Now hiring full time drivers for local routes. Multiple positions available. This is a union position (Teamsters 305). CDL B is preferred. If you do not already have a CDL you would need to have your permit before hire and we will help train you to get your CDL. Position can be extremely physical. All drivers must be capable of manually loading glass recycling bins for one type of route.
All trucks operate with on-board computer systems and digital video recording devices. Pride is known as one of the most technologically advanced solid waste companies in the state of Oregon. Many trucks in our fleet operate with CNG (Compressed Natural Gas).
Pride Disposal & Recycling Company supports a drug-free work environment. After a job offer is made, we conduct DOT Drug testing. Random drug screens are also done on a quarterly basis. Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record is required. E-Verify is completed when employment begins.
Union benefit package including medical premium for you and your dependents primarily paid for by the company.
Starting Wages: $23.06/hour (80% of union scale). This starting wage is negotiable based on experience.
Paid Time Off: All incoming employees accrue 80 hours of PTO in their first year of employment. Incoming CDL drivers with 7 or more years of CDL driving experience in the solid waste industry within the past 10 years will start accruing 120 hours in their first year of employment.
